North vs. South Lakes..

Kaaterskill Falls...

Continuing the theme of the week - "What is the plan? OUTSIDE!!!" (and yes, I did walk that rim too)  The goal is to hike there when the falls are frozen but that only happens about once every five years.

Fire (Tower) & Water...

Tuesday's hike was to fulfill my selfish fire tower goal - am now 60% complete! 

First Full Day!

First full day consisted of a hike, swimming and ice cream with all the kids...what else could one want?

Boom - Fourth!

I took the long way home and watched fireworks in one of the more historic cities in our country.  We watched from a parking garage due to the rain - the ones in NJ first and then the Philly ones right in front of us!

We did get to explore the city a bit but the focus was the Song & Dance Festival.  I got back to my Customer Service roots and was one of the Information Booth supervisors. Incredible opportunity to talk to SO many people from around the globe!!

The feeling of pride was incredible - we were all sobbing.  We made a mutual friend's American buddies link arms and sing with us at the end.  They joked that they felt like a part of a cult.....

BMW came to visit to help spread awareness of electric cars....we test drove some other ones since this one is quite pricey.

Side Trip..

Side trip on the way home this past weekend...incredible museum!!  Completely worth getting stuck in Beltway traffic on the way back.
