Got to see mom yesterday – it gave her a break from all the craziness that she has dealing with between work and grandma.
It was adorable to see the look of awe on her face - seeing the new stadium and the way that the UCMB has changed since I was a part of it. She cried during the introduction of all the band seniors. I cried as they introduced soldiers who were back from overseas and were now able to finish their degrees.
She needed a day to get away and have fun and I’m glad that I was able to provide it. Plus a bunch of hugs don’t hurt either!
